Notes - Third shirt released when José Mourinho looked to build on the Europa League success of the previous campaign but fell short in bringing Premier League and Champions League glory back to Old Trafford. The side could only manage a second place finish in the league and crashed out of the Champions League in the Round of 16 against Sevilla. Adidas held a competition for fans to design the next Manchester United kit and they opted for this design featuring a graphic of the United Trinity statues
